The Marginalia Machine is a drawing machine that reproduces editorial notes from an archive of contemporary poetry, the Bloodaxe Archive at Newcastle University. As new documents are digitised, a computer programme separates the notes from the background text. The resulting notes are then drawn, publically to a continuous paper scroll. It was produced as part of a Newcastle University research project, The Poetics of the Archive. Filed under work in progress.
